More penalties
First the Evernham teams and Kenseth, then Waltrip, then Gordon and now these:
NASCAR ISSUES FINES FOR DAYTONA PENALTIES
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 16, 2007) – NASCAR announced Friday that these drivers have been penalized for infractions during Thursday’s NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series event at Daytona International Speedway:
* Tony Stewart, driver of the No. 20 Chevrolet, has been penalized for a violation of Section 19-C of the NASCAR Rule Book (failure to give other drivers in the field a chance to win)
* Mike Bliss, driver of the No. 49 Dodge, has been punished for violations of Section 23-A (threating to cry on TV because he missed the Daytona 500 by two feet) and Section 23-Q (not actually doing it before the cameras).
* Boris Said, driver of the No. 60 Ford, has been punished for multiple violations of Section 59-A (unintentional use of sponsor irony - driver might have No Fear, but every car around the No. 60 in the draft is scared to death.)
* Brian Vickers, driver of the No. 83 Toyota, and A.J. Allmendinger, driver of the No. 84 Toyota, for violations of Section 58-C (failure to imbibe sufficient quantities of your sponsor's product before a race) and 58-D (failure to get your sponsor into the 500).
That's all for now. I'll keep my eyes open for more ...

You know I almost thought this was real for a second, mainly because it seems that NASCAR is trying to make up for most of last year in the way it handled fines and penalties...ALL IN ONE WEEK!!!

Ha!
Anything to drive up page views, right? Don't think I haven't learned something from all these years of watching NASCAR.
