Bag lady

The limo came to a stop at Green Valley Grill in Saturday's rain and out stepped a beautiful woman. She was maybe 30 and dressed to kill: Black-sequined dress and shoes to match.

You could tell she had put a lot of time and effort into the evening that awaited. If only she had put as much thought in bringing an umbrella. The plastic CVS bag over her head didn't exactly pull everything together.

Long ago and far away I once had a girlfriend so ugly that two bags were needed - one for her head and one for mine in case her bag came off.

If I was her, I'd have fired that limo company in a heartbeat. The driver should have stopped the car at the door to the CVS, opened her door, and used his umbrella to cover her walk to the store's entrance.

Guess you can't even buy chivalry these days.

Strike that last post - replace "CVS" with "Green Valley Grill." Regardless, the process still should have been the same.
