Question of the week (Week of June 22)
How have high gas prices affected you?
Are you driving less? Have you changed jobs or moved closer to a job? Have you changed vacation plans? Have high gas costs affected your job? What do you no longer do now that you used to do when gas was cheap?

One of the easy thing you can do, if you live near the boarder is buy your gas out of NC. It less expensive in all boarder states. In most years we will go to Tennessee 10-11 times, this year we have only been twice. I am playing golf around the house more, and not going out of town to play. I said we have cut our mileage by 25%.

I also use a credit card that gives you 5% back on gas purchases. Of course I am still looking for Peloski common sense plan to lower gas prices, you know the one the liberal press praised before the election and does not want to talk about now.

I had to quit my job delivering the newspaper (this newspaper) because my profits were becoming not worth my time or wear and tear on my vehicle. My husband has to work an extra day each week to make up for my lost income; not easy for him since he's trying to finish his degree. He took an online class this summer vs a class on campus. I combine all of my errands as much as possible and check out gasbuddy.com daily. We don't treat the kids to McDonalds or movies as often and I watch all variable bills (groceries, electric, etc).
